Gardener Series
WaterWise Consulting Inc. proudly introduces its new WaterWise Gardener Series. This Gardener
Series is a set of classes designed especially for homeowners who desire water efficient gardens.
Much of the highly technical material and jargon of irrigation concepts, design and plant material has been simplified and made user-friendly.
WaterWise has taught hundreds of classes in California to thousands of participants. We are
the premiere class development and training firm for Metropolitan Water District’s Protector
del Agua Program. The experience learned in teaching such a large amount of classes has
been incorporated into the Gardener Series. All classes within the Gardener Series are stand-alone components. Each class has been
designed to provide homeowners with the most helpful and practical information possible.
The participant benefits by gaining knowledge to implement water conservation practices in
his landscape immediately. As an agency, you benefit by providing your customers with one
of the best residential training programs in California. The classes that make up the series
include:
• Garden Design Concepts
• Garden Design Applications
• Irrigation Basics for Homeowners
• Drought Tolerant Plants
• Irrigation Scheduling & Maintenance Guidelines
• ET Controller Concepts
• Smart Gardening
• Horticultural Practices
These classes may be offered to your customers as a complete series and they can also be
customized to better fit your agency’s needs. Any combination or set of classes may be chosen,
including the offering of only one class.
Each class has a runtime of approximately four hours. All classes include professional instruction, a PowerPoint presentation, which may include 3-D graphics, animation, video clips, class handbooks and hands-on exercises on current green-industry practices. All WaterWise Consulting instructors have a strong landscape and irrigation background. Your customers will greatly benefit from these classes.
A description of each class is found in the following pages. For the optimum learning environment, we recommend that you register no more than 30 persons to each class. However, we can accommodate more participants if the teaching location is suitable. Please be advised that the more participants that attend, the more they will dilute the learning experience.
