WaterWise Consulting Inc. is an exciting and innovative company, dedicated to water conservation in the southwestern United States and surrounding urban areas.

WaterWise is bilingual in Spanish and English and provides professional instruction about water conservation in landscape, as well as inside the home or business. Our staff is professionally trained and has various degrees related to the green industry.

WaterWise is operated by Armando Salas and Marcos Quezada. Salas and Quezada have many years of experience in the green industry and the field of education. Salas and Quezada have provided instruction to large groups, developed curricula and managed water conservation programs.

WaterWise is determined to develop programs and services for those interested in becoming conscious water conservation and environmental advocates.

Whether you are water agency personnel, a landscape professional, a home gardener or simply involved in another related field, our knowledge and passion translates into efficient and effective programs, which can be individually tailored to help meet your water needs and requests. We approach every project with optimism, enthusiasm and professionalism. Our goal is to complete every project according to the highest industry standards.

SPOTLIGHT: Catherine Cox, CII Program Manager

Catherine Cox came to WaterWise Consulting after working in the Water Use Efficiency Unit at the Santa Clara Valley Water District where she served as the manager for the CII Water Use Survey program.

She has been actively involved in a wide range of green activities including an assortment of valuable conservation activities, proactive recycling initiatives and essential environmental policy development coordination for political campaigns. Catherine has also performed volunteer work for many different environmental organizations.

She has a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Biology from San Jose State University. Her areas of study included environmental policy, ocean and marine biotic health, global climate change research, sustainable agriculture and natural resources conservation.

Catherine loves the outdoors and goes backpacking, scuba diving, snow shoeing, and running. One of her most favorite recent adventures was the mapping project of the Continental Divide Trail for Backpacker magazine and USGS, where Catherine and her fiancee charted a designated trail for the section from Targhee Pass to Old Faithful.

Catherine Cox is an essential member of the WaterWise team, and we are proud to have her with us!

WaterWise Wins the MWDOC Contract!

After no small amount of dilligent effort, WaterWise Consulting, Inc. has won the contract to Provide Consulting Services for Conducting Hotel Water Use Program for hotels located in Orange County. This project will be performed in conjunction with the Municipal Water District of Orange County and will cover nearly 75 hotels throughout the area.

The goal of MWDOC’s Water Use Reduction Program is to implement water use efficiency changes in the hotel services commercial sector to achieve an anticipated water savings of 4,250 acre feet over the course of 10 years.

Our thanks goes to the individuals in WaterWise who worked so much to win this project for us. Your efforts have benefitted all of us, and thanks to you we will be able to help Southern California save water in the future.
