WaterSmart Innovations '15

By Silvia Gutierrez, GMC EDITOR

Moving business forward is crucial for the growth of any company. For those involved in the water conservation industry, the annual WaterSmart Innovations (WSI) Conference and Exposition gives them the opportunity to present new technology, services, programs, ideas, and/or research.

The eighth WSI event will once again be held at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Hundreds of regional, out of state and international agency members of both private and public companies will be in attendance.

Aside from a pre-show workshop, WSI is mainly a 3-day event (Oct. 7-9) of sessions, exhibits and panel discussions. Water conservation experts will present, speak and learn about cutting-edge approaches that will, in the long run, help water conservation efforts.

Speakers are allotted 20 minutes to present their information and 10 minutes of Q&A. It's a good time for attendees to connect and share opinions. That will lead up to a day of professional panel discussions for more in-depth presentations to communicate different view points depending on the subject matter.

Mary Ann Dickinson, president and CEO of Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE), will be the keynote speaker for the opening session. AWE is one of 20 partners and agency supporters for this year's event.

Sponsoring WSI are Niagara Conservation, Smart Utility Systems, Rain Bird, the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation, Ewing, Hunter, Herndon Solutions Group and WaterSmart.

WaterWise is looking forward to networking and hosting a happy hour session on Oct. 8th at 5:30 PM in Suite 1600 of South Point Hotel.
