WaterWise recently completed a complimentary water use analysis of Raley Field in West Sacramento, CA on behalf of the Regional Water Authority (RWA). RWA is a joint powers authority that serves and represents the interests of 21 water providers in the greater Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo County region.  RWA’s primary mission is to help its members protect and enhance the reliability, availability, affordability and quality of water resources.

Raley Field is a baseball stadium and event venue located across the Sacramento River from the California State Capitol.  The site is the home of the Oakland Athletics Triple-A affiliate, the Sacramento River Cats.

WaterWise eagerly agreed to assist the RWA, the City of West Sacramento, and Raley Field by providing a complete water use survey at no cost.  The WaterWise Technical Services Department conducted the field inspection on February 2009.

WaterWise analyzed historical water use at Raley Field to create a consumption baseline that was later used to calculate potential water savings.  WaterWise inspected all indoor and outdoor water using practices, including concession areas, restrooms, and irrigation.  WaterWise was able to find a potential annual water savings or nearly 30% for Raley Field.
