WaterWise Celebrates 16 Years!

For 16 years, WaterWise has successfully designed and implemented numerous water conservation programs throughout California, including some of its neighboring states. The company attributes its growth to the dedication of its employees, its contractors and clients. WaterWise wants to take this time to thank them all for their loyalty and for making WaterWise one of the premiere companies in the water conservation industry. WaterWise has launched divisions in other areas of the green industry and some have even developed into their own companies.

Last year was bittersweet. While WaterWise celebrates its longevity in the industry, it mourns the loss of one of its beloved employees, Sue Pike.

Sue was also known as, “Office Mom,” because of her command for the office activity and no-nonsense attitude. Sue was also responsible for managing some important programs from the WaterWise Santa Clara office.

On the lighter side, Sue was loved by all. She was always available to lend a helping hand and to take new employees under her wing. She was always happy and added a ray of sunshine to the office environment – unless you upset her. But that is another story for another day. Anyone who knew her knows exactly what we mean.

WaterWise has decided to give back to the community in the form of two scholarships. WaterWise has created a scholarship award in Sue’s honor.

The first student to get the award is a horticulture student from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. The school, also known as Mt. Sac, has been instrumental in providing trained students that eventually became WaterWise employees.

WaterWise will also award a scholarship to a student in the Water Technology department at Citrus College in Glendora, CA. WaterWise works with various programs that involve the usage and understanding of different indoor and outdoor water-based technologies.
